Thwip! Watch is all about what goes on our screens, namely TV. Whether CW or Fox or NBC or what-have-you, you can be sure that we here at Thwip! have been watching it. Today we are going to talk about Marvel’s Iron Fist.
I think whoever is doing the writing for this show literally does not have give half a shit about anything. The writer literally points out the stupidity of an action and then just ignores it.
So, the first thing this episode does is have someone just explain away all the mysteries and provide the endgame motivation in just one fell swoop.
Gao spills the beans on everything that Danny needed to know just so that we can finish this series (thank God, ’cause I am pretty sure they realized they backed themselves into a corner).
So Harold is revealed to be the final boss to this series and he is clearly insane. Or is Rand Corp Board of Executives even more insane ’cause it seems like they are pretty accepting of having a dead guy come back to run the company?
None of this is any real revelation if you have been watching the show at any point, the thing is that you gotta wonder to yourself, was it worth it?
No, it really wasn’t. In fact, since Ward has been a whiny shit this entire 13 hours, I find it fitting that he ends up being the hero at the end of it all (mainly by putting an end to all of these stupid shenanigans).
So glad that it’s over and that I did not watch this in one go – Marvel has a real dud on their hands, and really it’s everyone’s fault.
