Thwip! Watch is all about what goes on our screens, namely TV. Whether CW or Fox or NBC or what-have-you, you can be sure that we here at Thwip! have been watching it. Today we are going to talk about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
As we deal with these “Agents of HYDRA” episodes, this second episode into the story arc is basically the perfect middle moment of a story arc, in that it is all about setting up the chess pieces for the finale.
Agents of SHIELD has been a fairly consistent show, which is a rare thing these days and this episode is more of the same (in a good way).
So let me run down the highlights – Phil Coulson as a conspiracy geek is so hilariously endearing, it reminds us why he was such a breakout star from Avengers. The heel-turn of Fitz is a bit overblown, but only because we don’t know what the post-Framework consequences will be (it will be overly dramatic of course, but that’s on par).
Other than that, the episode was all about running from point A to point B to point C – perfectly serviceable, but nothing noteworthy at the moment.
