Thwip! Reviews – Teen Titans #7

That was a pretty nice, tidy little issue.

It had a little bit of everything, then Teen Titans acting like…well, teens who happen to be titans.

I think this is the end of the story arc where they introduce this new Aqualad (I think the next issue is all about the four part crossover with the Titans and all that, so this is a quick stopover it looks like as we gear up for that). The main star of the series is Damian (of course) as he tries to whip the teens into a superhero group that will be able to stand toe-to-toe with the Justice League.

I like the fact that it is the more kiddish, more teen friendly book, ’cause it balances all the things a kid is looking to be with some good superheroics (that quick fight with King Shark was just right in tonality).

Nothing much more can be said, the issue felt it was over quite quickly and even that Aqualad thing (which was telegraphed, but that’s not a bad thing).

Really what we are waiting for is the aftermath of all of this, since this issue felt more like a stepping stone for bigger and better things.

Three Thwips for a decent issue.
