It’s Monday folks! Which means we talk about a favorite manga of ours and why you all should read it – this week’s Manga Monday is all about Seishi Kishimoto’s 666 Satan (aka O-Parts Hunter)
Many people probably don’t know that the creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto has a twin brother who is also a mangaka.
It is probably why Seishi Kishimoto’s manga, 666 Satan flew under pretty much everyone’s radar.
While starting off as a typical shounen manga, I would argue that the world that the characters are a part of is just as inventive as the one that his brother had made. The O-Parts that the characters pick up and use are so wild and their implementation in the fights are entertaining as hell.
This is a manga that is light, quick, and fun – something that you don’t quite get with most other mangas since they seem to be focused on making that sweet anime deal rather than a proper manga for manga’s sake.
There is something genuinely great about this manga, though it does have its flaws and generic quirks, but it is a read that when one starts, you don’t regret starting (and then ending) it. So for those of you who are finding the 700 chapters of Naruto a bit intimidating, check out 666 Satan, to build up your courage a little.
